Kim (mbacp)

Hello!

My name is Kim, and I am a BACP Registered therapist.

When I was studying, I couldn’t envision what my life as a qualified practitioner would look like, but I knew I wanted to build something different.

I am incredibly grateful that Colin and Cree shared the same vision! We completed over three years of study together at Fife College, and our team's ethos has always focused on helping anyone in need.

My journey into this profession started on the other side of the counselling room, and it transformed my life completely. Since then, I have continuously advocated for easier access to therapy, worked to reduce the stigma surrounding it, and promoted education to challenge the conventional perceptions of therapy.

For me and my approach, I am by no means an expert in your life—you are. Pluralistic therapy allows us to adapt to your unique needs, and we achieve this by collaborating closely.

I believe that we all perceive the world through a lens shaped by our life experiences. Every aspect of how we communicate, think, and interact—including our relationships and even simple tasks like putting on shoes—is influenced by this lens. Each of us is distinct, with reasons for our actions and perspectives, whether they are positive or negative. Therapy is not about judging these interactions; it's about providing a space to explore and reshape that lens into one that is healthier for you.

Since qualifying as a BACP Registered therapist, I have completed various CPD modules to enhance my skills, including specialising in neuro-affirming therapy.

Starting in August 2026, I will be a qualified as a Children and Young Persons practitioner, offering one-on-one therapy for children over six.

I understand how daunting the first meeting can feel—it's uncharted territory for everyone involved, including me! FOFC is dedicated to meeting you where you are; we are all human, striving to navigate life's complexities together.

TL;DR (too long; didn’t read)

  • BACP Registered therapist Pluralistic practitioner—working together to tailor therapy to you, not just a textbook
  • Neuro-affirming—specialising in adult ADHD, AuDHD, dyspraxia, and dyslexia
  • Children and Young People therapist
  • Human being first, no judgment, no clinical coldness, just a safe space for you to be yourself.

Currently, my adult books are closed, and I am not offering sessions; however, the team is still happy to take your inquiry and work with you.

I currently have limited Children and Young people spaces.
